Our workplaces
Building services
Those who help keep our living and working spaces clean, safe and healthy. Every day, they maintain essential environments, often behind the scenes. We stand up for their rights, fair wages and dignity, so every shift is recognized for its true value.
Industries
Those who help build Québec every day. Manufacturing, logistics and production workers are at the heart of our economy. We defend their rights, improve working conditions and work to ensure progress never comes at the expense of people’s health and well-being.
Services, Retail, Financial Institutions and Transport
Those who keep our communities moving. In residences, businesses and on the roads across Québec, our members support the daily lives of thousands of people. We defend their rights and working conditions by relying on the collective strength workers build together, including tools like the FTQ Solidarity Fund.
Education support
Those who support student success, every day. In schools and universities, our members assist students, collaborate with teachers, and strengthen communities. We advocate for their recognition, job stability, and respect for the essential role these workers play in Quebec’s future.
Textiles and hospitality
Those who bring craftsmanship and attention to detail to life. Behind every well-made garment, every spotless room and every warm welcome, there are workers making it happen. We defend their rights and working conditions in industries that are constantly evolving.

You should never have to stand up for your rights alone. Our advisors are there to support you every step of the way, whether it’s bargaining, complaints, workplace conflicts or questions. Together, we fight for fair, respectful and lasting working conditions.
Training
Learning means gaining power. We offer union education and French-language training designed by and for members, so everyone can better understand their rights and build confidence in the workplace.
Health and safety
At the end of the workday, everyone deserves to go home safe and healthy. We work to ensure health and safety standards are properly enforced and helps members prevent workplace accidents while promoting safer working environments for all.
Legal support
Our legal team defends your rights with professionalism and compassion, whether it involves grievances, dismissals, CNESST claims or workplace disputes. With us, you are backed by a strong team committed to making sure your rights are respected in practice, not just on paper.
Francization
Understanding French better can help build confidence, improve communication at work and participate more fully in everyday life. That is why the 800, in partnership with Basic Training for Workforce Development (FBDM), offers members the opportunity to take French courses tailored to their needs.
Collective insurance
Group insurance plays an important role in the lives of many building maintenance workers. Whether it is for health care, prescription drugs, dental care or salary insurance, these benefits can make a real difference when unexpected situations arise.
